We believe in the power of music to inspire and amplify the talents within every child.

  • Does your child love music?

  • Do they want to play in a band, or are they bored of doing grades?

  • Do they want to play a live gig to a real crowd?

“An amazing experience, it really motivated my daughter to practice knowing she was working towards something and she loved it, it’s really lit a fire in her”

During term time, Monday evenings from 5.45-7.45. Located at Studio 91 Greenham Common, Newbury

Sessions run during term time either after school or on a Saturday. Each weekly session runs for 90 minutes (we take plenty of snack breaks!). The band works on a set of songs and after 10 sessions, the band puts on a show in a real music venue.

10 week program + live gig £275

Holiday Sessions

3 days, 1 performance. Dates and Location for next holiday club TBC.

Holiday camps are three immersive days of music. Children will form a band and rehearse a set of songs across three days with a live performance at the end. There is plenty of down time and children have a chance to try different instruments, compose their own music and learn about recording and live music production.

3 day program + live performance £180

At Amp!ify, we bring together groups of young musicians for around 10 weeks. Over the weekly sessions we guide them on a transformative journey through collaborative learning, mutual support and shared passion culminating in the ultimate test, a loud and live performance at a public venue. This immersive experience not only hones their musical skills but also fosters teamwork, resilience, confidence and a sense of accomplishment that extends far beyond the stage. Amplify your child and send them on a musical journey towards a memorable and empowering performance and an experience they will never forget.

Weekly Sessions

How it works - FAQ’s

  • Age is less important than maturity and ability but we always put kids into bands with kids broadly their own age. We take children as young as 8 up to 16.

  • Weekly sessions currently run from Studio 91 at Greenham Common, Newbury.

  • We try and keep the bands small and focussed, we aim to only ever have one musician on each instrument (except guitars where we have up to two) so there’s no sharing if we can avoid it.

  • You don’t need to be good. As long as you have a basic grasp of your instrument and know to play notes/chords (and be willing to get better at it) we want you!

  • If you are a pretty accomplished musician, that’s okay too. We will put you with people at your level or give you a bigger role in a band.

  • Your voice is an instrument, if you are a singer, we want you.

  • There will be lots of coaching but this is not about lessons. We will develop your playing skills to the next level but we aren’t primarily here to teach you to play, this is about taking what you already know and channeling that into a band performance.

  • This is fun, we don’t play solidly, we have plenty of breaks (and things to do, like come up with our band name, which is the hardest part of the process!).

  • As well as playing, during breaks we introduce students to other areas like music production, live performance and recording.

  • At the end of the termly 10 week program, we expect the students to be able to perform at a real public venue - this is the ultimate reward. We currently work closely with O’Neill’s in Winchester, one of the best live music venues in Hampshire and we aim to get all children on the stage with a band at the end of term.
